Hello, Enchargians. 2023 started with fresh new features and this month has not ended, but we’ve rolled out helpful features and updates that will level up your marketing automation. Let’s head back and see what your Enchrge team has worked on in the past couple of months. 

New Features

Form Builder - There’s no better way to start a year than with one of the most requested features from our users. With this feature, you can now turn your website visitors into valuable leads.

Go to Forms, build your forms using the Fields, Style, and Options tabs, and embed them on your website or use a public shareable link to collect email contacts and information about people.

“Change Numeric Value” Step - An additional flow step intended to increase or decrease a specific number field at a specific point in your flow. While the Lead Score action step only supports the lead score field, you can track multiple scores with this newly added action step. Simply create your custom number field, add the step to your flows, and select the number field from a dropdown of number fields and the operation you want to execute.

Note that this field only works with number fields.

View Custom Objects in the app - If you have created Custom Objects, you can view them in the app, create segments out of them, and associate them with other objects/companies/people.

Create Custom Objects and fields for them - You can create Custom Objects by clicking the (+) button in the “Custom Fields” screen as shown below:

Then, you can create fields for those objects.

API to update/insert custom objects - There is an API that allows you to define/create/update/read/delete Custom Objects: https://app-encharge-resources.s3.amazonaws.com/redoc.html#tag/CustomObjects

Use Merge tags from associated objects - You can use data from companies/custom objects in emails (and other steps).

To use this in other steps, you have to click “Advanced” on the Merge Tags dialog:

View people who were/are in the step -

Viewing the people who went into a step in your flow is now easy when we added the “People that are here”, “People that were here”, and “Step failed for people” tabs on the People section of each step. The section now shows a table of all people who:

  • Were previously on this step

  • Are currently on this step - Displays people who are currently waiting. This is mainly used for the Wait step.

  • Failed on the step - People who fail to enter the step or people who fail to exit the step when, at any point in the step execution, an error occurred, enter this step.

Improvements

Search within segments for Companies and Custom Objects - A search function is added within the segments for Companies and Custom Objects.

Smart merge tags in Drag and Drop email editor - The Drag & Drop builder has additional options to add your merge tags. You can now select the Object and Field for the merge tag, set the Default value, and update the merge tag automatically. 

Show why the step failed in “Step failed for people” - Added the "Error" column under the "Step failed for people" tab to show the reason why people failed in the step.

Wait step - wait until a specific date - You can choose a specific when you want your subscribers to move from the Wait step to another step in your flow.

Wait step - Specify if the step should use person or account timezone - Choose which time zone the time on the Wait step will be based on. Enable the "Use contact's timezone if available" option to follow the subscribers' time zones on their profile or disable it to follow your account's time zone.

**Note that if the time zone is unavailable in the contact's profile, your account's time zone will be followed.

Specify custom period in email metrics - We've improved the way of viewing metrics by adding an option to select a custom date filter to show. Simply choose the start and end date, and select how you want the metrics grouped: Day, Week, or Month.

🔧 API: Properly return whether Custom Object has been created or updated

🔧 Multiple HubSpot Sync fixes and improvements:

  • Sync Tags and Lead Score from Encharge to HubSpot

  • Automatically create segments for people/companies synced from HubSpot

  • Fix for contacts with multiple emails

  • Fix for contacts with invalid emails

  • Fix to coerce data in the correct format for HubSpot even if the wrong field type is used in Encharge

  • Fix to not sync email events for people not on the list
