Yes please. Talk with your support team, they should have hands on experience with flow testing and what to improve on the user's end to ease testing, troubleshooting and bug reporting.

I like the way ActiveCampaign handles this with a 'skip' button at each step in the automation. That way, you don't have to wait for any 'wait' actions :)

I think a good start would be to enable "test mode" which would automatically change all wait times to one minute. At the moment I'm manually doing this and will have to make sure I change everything back to the correct period when I want to go live

YES. Definately needed. Not sure how to do it without it being live and being at risk of prospects going into an untested Flow...
